I'm Araf, a 16 y/o researcher, creator, and innovator. My work revolves around creating social change through scientific research, trying to empower and educate people to live meaningful lives.

Working on a research grant designing an educational program for promoting community participation in natural disasters based on needs of Community-Based Health Organizations (CBHOs & NGOs).

Research Assistant

Worked on the project American Mass Incarceration in Comparative and Historical Perspectives under Dr. Adaner Usmani. Conducted data analysis and visualization with R, Pyton, and Matlab.

The Green Redesign - Improving Forestry Sustainability using 5G and IoT Technologies

Worked alongside a passionate cohort of international students focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to retrofit existing urban infrastructure and maximize renewable energy production by capitalizing on 5G and IoT technologies.

International Plant the Moon Challenger

As a team of 10, I worked to set up experimental parameters to examine how vegetable crops can grow in lunar soil. Using real soil simulant from the University of Central Florida’s CLASS Exolith Lab, we researched how to most effectively grow crops for a future long-duration mission done by NASA scientists!
